Before we set out to achieve anything in life, it’s important to know where we currently are. In many ways, achieving financial success can be compared with attaining a health or fitness goal, For example, if we wanted to run a marathon, we would first need to assess our current fitness level, then build a plan for how we would ultimately reach our goal of running 42.2 kilometres. If we are currently running 5 km comfortably, we will likely have more work to do than if we have recently completed a half-marathon distance of 21.1 km.
