UK – larger companies

The Financial Times (FT) joined forces with the Stock Exchange (SE) to create FTSE International in 1995, which has taken over the calculation (in conjunction with the Faculty and Institute of Actuaries) of a number of equity indices. Although most people are only familiar with the FTSE 100, the FTSE also produce a phenomenal 120,000 indices, ranging from country indices (e.g. Indonesia) to football club indices. You will be relieved to hear that I will not describe them all, just concentrate on the most important.
