Exercise 4.1

We are going to continue the mechanical project started in the last chapter, by creating layers, loading linestyles and moving entities to layers. This drawing needs eight layers and two linestyles. As our project is evolving, it is important to notice that the drawing on the left will be a section defined on the right drawing and we are using First Angle Projection.

  1. Open the drawing PROJECT1-CH3.DWG.
  2. Apply the LINESTYLE command (alias LT), click on the Load button, select the HIDDEN and CENTER linestyles (Ctrl + click to select more than one linestyle) to load them into the drawing and click on OK. Click on OK again to exit the Line Style dialog box.
  3. Now, apply the LAYER command (alias LA) to create the eight layers and assign linestyles ...
