Summary

This chapter includes commands related to the creation, insertion and other operations about components (blocks). A component, or block, is a set of entities belonging to one or more layers, that are grouped together and that can be used as a single element. To create components, there is the MAKEBLOCK command. The INSERTBLOCK command inserts a defined component in the drawing or a drawing file as a component. The EXPORTDRAWING command allows the user to export a component, all entities or just some entities, to a new DWG or DXF file. The EDITCOMPONENT command modifying an existing component, including defining a new base point.
