Summary

In this chapter, hatches are presented, allowing the user to represent sections, cuts, or materials. Hatches can be a regular pattern composed by families of lines, a single color or a gradient between two colors. The HATCH command allows the user to select a pattern or a gradient and apply it to closed or almost closed areas. The EDITHATCH allows the user to modify existing hatches and fills.

The next chapter includes all commands for dimensioning or documenting drawings, another essential step for mechanical drafting.
