Creating the Active.xml configuration file

  1. On the collector computer, open an elevated Windows PowerShell console and change the directory to C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\BootEventCollector\Config
  2. Type notepad .\NewActiveConfig.xml and then press Enter. An empty file will open in Notepad.
  3. Copy the following example configuration into Notepad and save the file (see Figure 35):
