Creating a Nano Server image for Windows Server containers

The following section will detail the deployment of a very basic Nano Server configuration. For a more thorough explanation of deployment and configuration options for Nano Server, see Chapter 2, Getting Started with Nano Server.

Follow the steps mentioned to create a VHD(X) image for Nano Server to be used as a container host so we can run Windows Server containers:

  1. Mount the Windows Server 2016 ISO medium on your machine. In this example, it's mounted on the H drive.
