Nano Server as a compute is used to host virtual machines on top of Hyper-V, either in clusters or not.

This process includes the following tasks:

  1. Acquiring the ISO image of Windows Server 2016 Datacenter edition.
  2. Creating the new Nano Server images.
  3. Copying the new Nano Server images to the host machines.
  4. Rebooting into the new Nano Server image.
  5. Connecting and managing Nano Servers from the management machine.
