Configuring Nano Server as a target computer

The following steps will describe how to set up Nano Server as a target computer:

  1. First, you need to create a Nano Server image. See Chapter 3, Deploying Nano Server in a Virtual Machine and on Physical Hardware, for more details. If you already have Nano Server deployed in your environment, please skip to step 3.
  2. Next, you need to add AutoLogger registry keys to enable sending diagnostic messages. To do this, you need to mount the Nano Server VHD image created in step 1, then load the registry hive, and update the registry. In this example, the Nano Server image is stored in the D:\ drive. Your path might be different; you need to adjust the following steps accordingly:
