GCE persistent disks

We have the following from the GCE website:

Google Persistent Disk is durable and high performance block storage for the Google Cloud Platform. Persistent Disk provide SSD and HDD storage which can be attached to instances running in either Google Compute Engine or Google Container Engine. Storage volumes can be transparently resized, quickly backed up, and offer the ability to support simultaneous readers. (you can refer to more details about this in point 1 in the References section at the end of the chapter)

Let's create a new GCE persistent disk.
