In this section, we'll delve into how CM features and application logic can be structured to implement the business requirements and the end-user application views described above. This decomposes into modeling the data—using CE classes and properties—and modeling the security—using CE security features. These are somewhat entwined, so we will describe them together.

We have designed the security and referential integrity aspects such that things won't get knocked for a loop if someone uses FEM, XT, or another application to attempt to directly modify an object. This demonstrates that you can use the CM platform itself to control those things and not rely on application logic for those critical functions.
