This chapter looks at some of the ways you can customize GIMP. We also show you where to find and add extra options such as plug-ins and extensions. We look at the similarities and differences between GIMP and Photoshop. There is a Troubleshooting section and information on where to go for further help.
Customizing GIMP
The Preferences dialog allows you to customize GIMP. You can ignore this area altogether or you can customize GIMP so that each time it opens, certain areas are arranged the way that you prefer. The Preferences dialog is available at Edit Preferences (see Figure 10-1).
