Preface

1. The academic field of international (often called global) business emerged only after WWII. The Academy of International Business (AIB) started monitoring international business curricula since the late 1960s, through a series of studies, usually every four years. Vern Terpstra, John Daniels, Lee Radebaugh, Robert Gross, John Thanopoulos, Reijo Luostarinen, and their colleagues were the pioneer editors of these studies. See Arpan and Kwok (2001), p. 4.
