Global talent, global mindset

Great people achieve great things. They will turn crises into opportunities, turn mountains into molehills and turn ideas into action. In contrast, the ‘B’ team is a recipe for sleepless nights and stress for the team leader. In global teams, the need for the best people is even greater, because the stakes are higher and success is harder to achieve.

Global team leaders are keenly aware of this challenge: ‘In the Middle East I knew I could go on holiday. Out in Russia, when it was just emerging from communism, I never went on holiday because I was not convinced that my team would cope.’265
