Conclusions

Before starting the research for this book it was not clear whether there was a challenge for global teams. At first glance, it would seem that all teams have the same needs: clear goals, roles and processes, and effective team members who trust each other and communicate well. The big question was: ‘Are global teams really different?’

The answer was emphatic: global teams are fundamentally different from domestic teams. It also became clear that global teams are the oil which makes globalisation work and helps global firms perform.
