You can implement some of the items discussed in this chapter.

  • Engineer Unit: You can create a special unit, such as an engineer unit that can build certain structures like pillboxes, barbed wire, and sandbags. A number of turns will be taken until the unit creates a particular item, and once the engineer unit has completed the structure, the terrain tile will be updated to show this new feature. You need to take into account any additional modifiers that need to be added to the tile once this new feature is added. Don’t forget that you also need to create a unit graphic for the engineer unit or have a particular icon on the unit to show that it can make these items.
