12. Allergy or intolerance?
Is it my imagination or is everyone suffering from allergies these days?
When I say allergies, I’m specifically referring to so-called food allergies, but haven’t you noticed that allergies generally are everywhere? It seems that kids have more hayfever, eczema and hives these days. Are we imagining all this or does this phenomenon really exist?
Patrick Holford in his book The Optimum Nutrition Bible says that food allergies are affecting close to one in three people. So, perhaps we’re not making it up after all.
