IT Operations in the Cloud
Building and managing infrastructure in the cloud versus on-premises has implications for how teams are structured and how they operate. This, in turn, has led to the rise of roles and concepts such as developer operations (DevOps) and site reliability engineering (SRE). Before we dig into these concepts in this chapter, we’ll highlight the main differences between operating cloud environments relative to on-premises.
