Blogger: get your message out where the patrons are


This chapter shows how Blogger evolved into a useful service with added capabilities such as RSS feeds and podcasting. In a visit to the Googleplex we learn about Dynamic Views, a way to make blogs much more graphic – adding seven new visual templates to the classic blog page. In addition, the Google developers share links to libraries that have done a particularly good job with blogging. We also trace the use of WordPress, an open source blogging product. Both types of blogging tools allow for common elements such as RSS feeds that notify users when a blog has been updated, image uploads, linking and more.
