Dan Reisinger (b. 1934) is Israel’s most accom-
plished and innovative graphic designer. He was
born in Kanjiza, Serbia, into a family of painters
and decorators working in Austria-Hungary and
the Balkans. The majority of his family perished
in the Holocaust. As a teenager, he became
active in the partisan Pioneer Brigade, and with
his mother and stepfather immigrated to Israel
in 1949.
In 1950, he was accepted as a student, its
youngest at the time, at the Bezalel Academy
