When Fiat’s Lingotto car plant opened in Turin,
Italy, in 1920, it quickly became an international
landmark for the industrial revolution and
technological progress due to its sheer size,
rationalist architectural design, and famous
rooftop test track. Over its sixty-year life, many
of Fiat’s best-known car models were designed
and manufactured at Lingotto.
