SETTING THE STAGE
The graphic power of physical
forms and materials

stone, glass,
metal, textured paper

is evidenced
by the bold environment created
for this restaurant. A palette of
neutrals is punctuated by a vivid
orange wall, while the linearity
of the wall pattern and seating
areas gets a pop of contrast from
giant, shiny dots: pendant lamps
and grid-mounted mirrors.

In this exhibition design, compositional
layering of photographic, textural, and
physical elements creates dimensional,
vignetted compositions. Considering
multiple viewing angles, the effects of light
and transparency, and color relationships
between fabrication materials and the
content of the display affords a design
experience similar to that of a retail display
or even a printed application.
