Chapter 13. How to Visualize Facts

CHAPTER OVERVIEW

Factual information may not be as exciting as other content types but facts are critical to complete many job tasks! Facts are unique specific information related to job tasks. Concrete facts such as computer screens and specific equipment are two- or three-dimensional. Discrete facts may be qualitative such as product color, or quantitative such as product weight. When teaching facts, it's important to present them in job context and to provide memory support.

In this chapter we present research, psychological rationale, and examples to support the following guidelines on ways to visualize facts:
