3D Printing and Sustainable Product Development

Abstract

This chapter explores the history of 3D printing and associated emerging technological applications. 3D printing is the most tangible physical output of modern computer technology and as such has the power to impact beyond the core IT technologies into both personalized and mainstream manufacturing.
