An Analysis of Two Corporations with a ‘Social-environmental’ Corporate Culture
INTRODUCTION
This chapter investigates two further cases of corporations and the environment: The Body Shop International plc, and Ben & Jerry's Homemade Inc. Both represent the ‘dark green’ management style because they are more proactive in responses to environmental challenges than similar corporations of their size and type. ‘Dark green’ corporations are highly active in social and environmental causes and contribute significant amounts of their pre-tax profits to such causes.
