APPENDIX B GROOVY
The syntax of Groovy is based on the Java programming language syntax. This makes for a relatively short learning curve for Java developers. Groovy makes writing scripts and applications for the Java platform fast and easy. It includes language features found in Python, Ruby, and Smalltalk, but uses syntax more natural to Java developers. Because Groovy is based on Java, applications written in Groovy can use the full complement of Java APIs, and Groovy works seamlessly with other components and applications written in the Java programming language.
