Data Centers and the Ozone Layer

Earth’s ozone layer, located predominantly in the lower portion of the stratosphere some 6 miles to 31 miles (10 kilometers to 50 kilometers) above the surface of the planet, provides a shield against ultraviolet radiation. This shield can be damaged by certain man-made chemicals, including those commonly used as fire suppressants and refrigerants in Data Centers.
