Stage 4: Analytics Coding for Ease of Review
Summary
Once data has been loaded into the Data Manipulation Environment (DME), it is time to do some analysis on it. This is Stage 4 of the Guerrilla Analytics workflow. A significant amount of analysis involves writing program code to manipulate and prepare data and perhaps then apply statistical models, machine-learning algorithms, and visualizations. This chapter introduces simple conventions to improve the clarity, traceability, and reproducibility of analytics code, and thereby save time and reduce confusion in the Guerrilla Analytics environment.
