The publication of Guerrilla Film Marketing: The Ultimate Guide to the Branding, Marketing & Promotion of Independent Films and Filmmakers just so happens to coincide with the twentieth anniversary of the production and release of our film, The Blair Witch Project.

When my Blair Witch co-writer and co-director, Eduardo Sanchez, and I premiered the film at Sundance in 1999, we were coming to the end of one of the most exciting periods of independent filmmaking – a period that included Quentin Tarantino’s Reservoir Dogs, Robert Rodriguez’s El Mariachi, Kevin Smith’s Clerks and Ed Burns’ release of Brothers McMullen among many others.
