Do you measure performance or consider performance measures taken by others? If yes, then you probably have engaged in quantitative data analysis. Performance technology is a measurement-oriented field of practice. We engage in measurement when we diagnose problems, when we perform assessments, when we track quality indicators, and of course when we conduct evaluations. We may wish to compare performance measures to standards or benchmarks, determine whether events are related, evaluate the effectiveness of programs, or predict outcomes.
