Abstract:

Complexity of problems of Process Integration, modelling and optimisation in chemical engineering requires the application of computers and dedicated software. Software packages have been widely used for process simulation, integration and optimisation for both design and retrofit. A variety of efficient tools are available, but the problem for the user is that each software developer focuses on their product advantages. This chapter provides an overview based on experience and applications of Process Integration software tools.
