Getting data from QVD files

A QVD file is a QlikView document file, and, for this example, it contains historical data. Sometimes, if there are multiple developers in your organization, you can get QVD files, because QVD is an efficient format in which QlikView saves the data, and generally delivers passes from the QVD file to other developers if they want to use their data.

If you are using a QVD file, you can use it by going into the Table Files... option and selecting the QVD. The process is pretty similar to importing from an Excel file. So, once everything is set, let's save this and reload. Once we reload, we will notice that the data loaded very fast.
