The Many Sources of Purpose in Your Life
Even as a child growing up in Nigeria, Ezinne Uzo-Okoro’s curiosity and desire to invent was insatiable. When she found out Walt Disney slept with a pencil and paper under his pillow, she started doing the same to make sure no idea was wasted. Frustrated by the fact that she couldn’t tell who was calling her house, she imagined inventing caller ID. She knew she wanted to be an inventor and a builder and, following in the footsteps of her American-educated parents, enrolled at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in New York. She excelled there and was headed for a PhD when she got sidetracked by an organization she’d never heard of: NASA.
