Android Studio is a work in progress that changes much more often than the Android SDK. The version you download may be different from the one I used when writing this book, and it may contain a few, shall we say, idiosyncrasies.
For this reason, I recommend you allow the IDE to automatically check for updates, and download and install new updates as soon as they’re available. You can also select Help > Check for Update to perform a manual check at any time.
