Summary

In this concluding chapter, we learned about some experimental features of the Heroku platform that help us build, deploy, and monitor our apps better. We explored Heroku's experimental support for a powerful, bidirectional communication protocol called Websockets—a natural choice for developing real-time web apps. We got an introduction to the use of Heroku Platform API to build Heroku apps programmatically. We also discussed the workings of collaboration on the Heroku platform, that is, how you can use the Heroku dashboard and/or the Heroku CLI to add your collaborators and share your app with them instantly.
