Structured Deposits

A STRUCTURED DEPOSIT (SD for short), as the name implies, is a deposit with a structure around it. It is a way for investors to earn a higher deposit rate by expressing a view on one or more linked asset classes, like commodities, FX or equities. If the view turns out right, the investor will earn the higher interest. If the view is wrong, the investor typically gets back the principal with no interest.
