This chapter dicusses what information to look for when troubleshooting SQL Server performance problems, both examining real-time data and collecting information for later analysis. Performance information in SQL Server is exposed in several ways and different tools are usually used to either see or collect that data. One of the new and very promising tools, the Query Store, was fully explained in Chapter 3.
