hacking LEGO light bricks
The LEGO light brick is useful for all sorts of light-based designs, but it’s available in only two colors: red or yellow. In this chapter, you’ll hack the light brick, shown in Figure 9-1, to make it any color you want. You can even make it flash, change colors, or emit infrared and ultraviolet (UV) light.

Then you’ll build a device that uses the light brick to project a beam, simulating a laser, by using a lens to shape the light’s output.
