Higher Ambition: How Great Leaders Create Economic and Social Value

Video description

Economic value or social value? Performance or people? However you phrase it, many corporate leaders have seen these as opposing goals. There has been a sense that companies must choose which to prioritize. In prioritizing, corporations have lost legitimacy and trust in the eyes of employees and the public. Choosing between such goals is no longer good enough. Today's leaders must win on all fronts--people, customers, communities, and shareholders. The question is, ""How?"" The answer is by mastering a different type of ""higher ambition"" leadership. The principles of higher ambition leadership include earning the right to lead by building trust; engaging employees and creating community; and committing to collective leadership. In this webinar Harvard Business School professor Michael Beer and BD chairman Edward Ludwig share how leading firms have built trust and engagement, and are meeting a higher standard.
