He should first study all the factors, including environment, which influence a patient’s disease, and then prescribe treatment. 4.1 Introduction
To understand the concept of the ancient science of Ayurveda, it is imperative that we take a cursory look at the scientific knowledge enshrined in Indian mythology and the old medicinal books of India, and then look at it through the window of modern science. Nanotechnology is a science that has evolved in the late twentieth century. To correlate it with ancient knowledge is a tough job, which we try to do to the best of our ability and knowledge. This demands a cursory look at that ancient period.
4.1.1 Ayurveda: An Age-Old Science that Originated in India with Dhanvantari
