One of the biggest reasons to put a screaming fast (54 Mbps) wireless router in your house is so that you can watch photo slide shows from any room in your house or play any song from your CD library or Internet radio anywhere in your house. Some new tools even allow you to play movies or digitally recorded TV shows on any television in your house. All this (or most of it, anyway) without stringing wires everywhere.
