3.5. Solidification

Carrying off heat from a polymer melt, the molecular chains lose their motility if the viscosity of the melt increases up to the solidification at the transition point where the melt is frozen. The transition point refers to a temperature, but the process of solidification trends to a transition range over several degrees.
