6.3. Process Simulation of Micro Hot Embossing

After general remarks, the aim of this section is to analyze every process step of hot embossing: the heating step, the filling of microcavities, the velocity- and force-controlled molding, the cooling step, and finally, the demolding of the structures to complete the process chain. Analysis will cover different molding tools, commercial tools, and special developments, and also different geometric models.
