This customized Linux distribution offers a soup-to-nuts mechanism for turning your old hardware into a complete hotspot portal tuned to the Sputnik system. Sputnik requires a minimum of a 486 with 32 MB RAM, a bootable CD drive, an Ethernet NIC, a Wireless NIC, and an Internet connection (DSL, Cable, T1, etc.).
