Emotions can be defined as the feelings we experience in our bodies either due to our inherent nature or due to how we’ve been nurtured. In other words, nature may dictate the rise of some emotions (e.g., sexual desire for someone you’ve only seen from across a crowded room but as yet have not been introduced to), but many of our feelings are the result of our past experiences, what we’ve been taught by our fam-ily or friends, and/or the beliefs of our society and/or culture.
