Hiding and showing
CREATING EFFECTIVE PHOTOMONTAGES is all about making layers interact with each other. And more often than not, this entails making layers partially hidden behind existing objects in the scene.
The standard way to do this is to erase the parts you don’t want. But this is an irrevocable step; instead, we’ll look at the tools that give Elements users some of the power of Photoshop CS6, with the ability to selectively hide and show regions of layers.
We’ll also see how to blend layers together in a convincing manner, and how to arrange our montages so that they look that bit more convincing.
