Transformation and distortion

COMPOSING MULTIPLE IMAGES into a single montage almost always involves scaling, rotating and moving the elements around. In this chapter, we’ll look at the basics of using that most powerful tool, Free Transform: with its multiple keyboard modifiers, it’s capable of producing good results.

There’s more to distortion than simply scaling and rotation, though. We’ll also be exploring other methods of bending and twisting images to meet our needs; including how to magnify a section of an image, straighten the Leaning Tower of Pisa, place a photo onto a computer screen and much more.
