How to Select a Firm

Assuming you have obtained names of individuals and firms, how do you determine which one(s) to use? Here are some considerations, whether you are considering a firm to design and conduct the survey or just to tabulate and report results:

  • Check references. Talk to former clients. Ask how satisfied they were with the services. Check such things as cost, staying within quote, validity and reliability of results, on-time delivery, credibility, and thoroughness. If you obtained the name from another company that used the firm, ask it for a reference.
