So far, we have not talked about design. Graphic designers used to working in print will notice a few challenges when moving to web design. When you design a brochure, for example, you can be sure that every one of them will look the same once printed. The fonts will be the ones you chose, in the sizes you specified, and all the elements will be in the positions you placed them. In web design, you have less control. The fonts will be whatever the end-user has installed on their computer, although there are methods to expand the range of fonts available (see Chapter 4). The layout might be different depending on the size of the screen, the browser used, or whether the computer is a Mac or a PC.
