‘When we stop learning, we stop living.’ One of the things that may come out of your skills audit is recognition that there’s a gap between where you are now and where you’d like to be – a ‘training gap’. Think carefully about how you’d like to close that gap by taking additional training. Go to your library or search the internet, ask at the careers service, the job centre or your local college to check out the options. Be aware of your own learning style. Some people can study alone and pass exams by reading a few books or taking a correspondence course. Others need the support of others.
